“ Was there on Christmas day for Christmas dinner and Phill and Karen did us proud, we were in a party of 6 and we all had a great time, also if you like a Sunday roast they do a carvery and it seemed quite popular, cracking hosts good food and good beer with a lovely atmosphere. ”

Great little bar and eaterie with great hosts and very reasonable priced drinks and food., Bit off the beaten track but a wee gem of a place, Phil and Karen the owners are super nice and make you feel like long lost friends, not forgetting the 2 super friendly dogs Max and Cody. Food is awsome and cooked and served perfectly. Sunday roasts are superb and so is the fish and chips. Lite bites and tapas also availble and are very very nice indeed... homemade meatballs are divine. All in all a great place and well worth a visit ”

Phil and Karen were just as lovely in real life as they came across in the show. And Phil cooked a cracking all day breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend going if you're in the area. “ Fabulous. We went in on what turned out to be a quieter race day this week. The host was superb. I had been unwell with a bad stomach and had not eaten much for a week and had very specific needs/whats which were not quite on the menu that day. No problem, I got exactly what I asked for, all freshly cooked and I was never made to feel as if I was a problem customer’. Excellent food and service, incredible value for money. Just wonderful!!! ”
